SOCCER VIOLENCE

Heads, hands, and legs are some of the parts of the body that people use whenever they fight. Showing how strong someone is has been a reason for fighting for many years. Nevertheless, nowadays it is becoming more common that people fight because of more reasons. One of the reasons why people fight is soccer, and everything that is related to this popular sport. I think that there is soccer violence due to some causes that, of course, generate some effects.

The first reason why there is soccer violence is the fact that people have many preferences and likes whenever they talk about soccer or when they go to a soccer stadium. For instance, whenever there is a soccer match, there are always two groups of fans that support two different teams. Besides, sometimes there are discussions in a family whenever they talk about a soccer since there are many preferences. Because of these different preferences, there are often some fights between supporters or hooligans after a soccer match.

Another main reason that causes soccer violence is the kind of songs hooligans sing. Hooligans not only sing those songs for cheering up their teams, but also they do that to offend the fans of the other soccer club and the soccer players, of course. Those offensive songs generate some acts of violence on the streets, or wherever fans of different teams run into each other. Unfortunately, not only does this reason make hooligans fight on the streets, but it also makes some soccer players play stronger and resort to violence on the soccer field.

Because of those two causes, soccer is becoming a violent sport that generates some bad effects. Take for instance that many deatils are caused due to soccer. Moreover, vandalism is increasing as a result of this popular sport, too.

People's death is one of the effects cause by soccer. This bad effect is generated since hooligans do not like the fact that their favorite soccer team loses a match. Due to this cause, there are many fights that end up bringing up many deaths. Although all fights do not end up with deaths, it is better that soccer does not cause those results. For example, in the soccer match between Universitario de Deportes and Alianza Lima, two classical soccer rivals, in 2008, there were eleven deaths since Universitario won the match.

Furthermore, soccer violence has an effect on teenagers since they start to be part of groups of vandalism. Nowadays, there are lots of teenagers that join groups of hooligans. These groups of hooligans are usually related to vandalism because they do not know how to have fun if their team loses. Besides, these groups of violent supporters often need money to enter a stadium to see their team, and that is why they steal money and prefer vandalism.

To sum up, there are some bad effects due to soccer violence which unfortunately is becoming a violent sport. I would say that if this trend continues, there will be more bad results than now that will not only affect hooligans, but also all the society.
